- Keywords: C-64 VIDTEX 4.2 AUTOLOG FILES CREATION PROGRAM
-
- This program, for the C-64, gives users of VIDTEX 4.2 a convenient way to
- create two types of autolog files. One is a file that visits selected
- forums, and REAds all new messages. If your replies to messages are in
- PETASCII files on disk, the other autolog file will post those messages in
- the forums. A hayes compatible modem, such as the 1670 or most RS-232
- modems, is required. LOAD"filename",8 and RUN.

- Keywords: VT100 FREENET TERMINAL ONE SDA
-
- This is a VT100-style display routine for TERMINAL ONE (see
- "T18MAN.SDA"). This routine is designed to work with Edmonton Freenet. I
- believe it will work with Freenets elsewhere. Run this SDA (Self-Dissolving
- Archive) to produce a file named "T18TVT100-FREE", which should reside on
- the same disk as your other TERMINAL ONE display routines ("T18T..."). You
- will then get the option of using this routine when you run TERMINAL ONE.

- This file, for the C-64, is for those who use the 1670 modem, the one
- with three switches in the back. Commodore also sold a four-switch version
- of the 1670. If you keep the modem connected to the computer at all times,
- it will answer the telephone whenever the computer is on. This program will
- write a one-block program to your disk drive (device 8). Load that program
- (,8,1) to disable auto-answer mode. Do NOT run that program; just loading
- it will do the job. And any BASIC program in memory is preserved.

- This patch program, for VIDTEX 4.2, will let you view graphics files
- on-line. In addition to the RLE capability of VIDTEX, you will be able to
- display Doodle, Koala, compressed Doodle, and Compressed Koala files. The
- meta-/ (comkey-/) function is used to access this mode. So you no longer
- will be able to change border colors that way. You must read the Intel
- format of the file (rea int), which slows down the process. So 1200 bps
- operation is recommended. Cannot be used if VIDTEX is already patched.

- Title : Allows term prgs to autodial 1650
- Keywords: 1650 AUTODIAL UTILITY
-
- Do you have a 1650 automodem, and a terminal package that won't autodial
- it?
- This small Basic program first prompts you for a phone# which it
- dials, and then for the filename of your terminal package which it
- load/runs.
- I've used it to front-end TERM80.IMG which you'll find on this very same
- XA, and also with SUPERTERM.
- But don't call CompuServe because their carrier usually hangs up
- before either program finishes loading.

- Keywords: VIDTEX AUTOLOG LOADER
-
- This is a fast version of the VIDTEX autoloading program. Change al$ in line
- 10 to the name of your autolog file. (I used "cis") The reason this program
- is faster is that it blanks the screen and changes the drive to VIC speed.
- The screen will flash while VIDTEX is loading. I wrote all of the code not
- in the original program on the VIDTEX disk. Joel Rubin

- Keywords: HAYES AUTODIAL VIDTEX
-
- VIDDIAL.TXT tells you how to create a autolog file for use with Vidtex and
- the Hayes modem or any of it's manny clones. This file will redial a
- given number until you are connected. No more pounding the function keys.
- Credit William Quan for the rough theory and lazy me for it's creation.

-
- Ever want to use CIS when you're not at home or in the middle of the night?
- Try this program which auto starts your Vidtex exec. whenever you want.
- Program asks for auto-log which you create for this purpose (be sure to
- study navigation in your manual.) Then asks for present time and time to
- call. The rest is up to Vidtex, CIS and your own creativity. Enjoy! Robert

-
- This is a series of modifications for VIDTEX 4.0A or 4.0B, which will speed
- up dialing by 4 times. It works consistently in my exchange. Try it with a
- long number with a lot of 9's to check that it works in your exchange. (My
- exchange is urban/inner suburban.)
